Fans of the Disney/Pixar “Cars” short “Monster Truck Mater” were disappointed that Mattel only made Dr. Frankenwagon’s Monster Truck as a static part of the “Wrastlin’ Ring” playset…so here are his pieces reassembled in true Frankenstein fashion as a remote-control monster truck. It’s a creaky custom made out of a $10 CVS dump truck and a $20 R/C monster truck (rear axle and mechanism only). No parts of the original playset were altered in any way…in case it turned out badly! It’s fun, but I still want to see him as an “official” release!

We’ve finished our first successful test! We test at 30% throttle, the exhaust is not good enough, but it runned about 2×15 minutes…
