It is meant to be an indoor flier. It is difficult to fly outdoors because of the short remote control range and the effects of even subtle wind currents. So, to answer your first question, it will not fly really high because it loses “contact” with the remote. That said, I am very happy with mine, bought it about a month ago. I have crashed it too many times to count and it is still going strong. Even if it broke tomorrow, I would feel that I got my moneys worth because as bad as I have treated it, it doesn’t have any problems.
Also, If you want a good out door flier, the Air Hog Aero Ace is a lot of fun. There are three different models, the byplane being the best flier. I did a lot of research before I plunked down the money for both and both products are great.
Have Fun
