		<description>the universe doesnt expand as it gets colder... it gets colder because it expands.  when it expands, imagine all the heat currently distributed throughout the universe being spread out more and more.  you thought backwards

at absolute 0, kinetic energy ceases.  that doesn't include electromagnetic radiation (light, heat, gamma radiation), which is entirely different.  

gravity is the force of attraction between two bodies of matter.  at absolute 0, those bodies' densities would increase (not their mass) so their escape velocity would actually increase.  it would be harder to lift off from the surface of the earth if it was compressed to half of its original volume, even if its mass stayed the same
